TRANSITIONING FROM MILITARY LIFE - VETERAN LIFE

About "Operation Phoenix"

“Operation Phoenix” primary initiative to aid active-duty military and prior-service veterans in developing a healthy, sustainable lifestyle. Because these individuals face unique trials that come with having dedicated their lives in service to our nation, they require innovative, creative solutions to regain and elevate their mental and physical health, as well as adjust to the civilian world. Through this operation, Grey Team and HOW Foundation will provide a space for qualified service members to gather and gain comfort from their own community, learn to effectively train their minds and bodies, optimize their nutrition, decelerate their “fight or flight” response, and enable psychological and physiological recovery from their service.

REIMAGINING HEALTH AND WELLNESS

Our Services

“Operation Phoenix” addresses and corrects the systemic root of why our service members experience anxiety, depression, which left untreated, can ultimately lead to suicide. Rather than treating their symptoms with pharmaceutical drugs as is standard practice, Grey Team is able to alleviate their mental and physical suffering caused by Post Traumatic Stress Disorder (PTSD), Traumatic Brain Injury (TBI), chronic physical pain, poor nutrition, and lifestyle choices, etc., through the use of innovative, cutting-edge scientific tools combined with basic fundamentals.

One-On-One Personal Training

Grey Team’s fitness program caters to service members who want more independence, functional mobility, greater health, and energy for daily living. This specialized form of personal training addresses many of the physical disorders that occur during military services, such as loss of balance, coordination, strength, and endurance, leading to a lower quality of life and less overall independence.

Photobiomodulation Therapy (low-level laser)

An innovative, non-addictive treatment that uses carefully calibrated light waves to stimulate cell regeneration, lower tissue inflammation, reduce and/or eliminate chronic pain, and enhance tissue repair.

Electromagnetic Mood Therapy

Utilizing ultra-low radiofrequency energy technology, Grey Team can emulate specific magnetic fields to produce desired feelings in the brain (i.e. Happy, Alert, Focus, Relax, Calm, Sleepy, etc.). This is incredibly beneficial to service members and veterans who typically rely on pharmaceutical drug interactions to alter mood, often with undesirable side effects.

Individualized Nutritional Counseling

A service provided to all program participants to assist them in learning how to elevate their physical and mental health with proper food selection, preparation, and meal timing for a sustainable lifestyle upgrade.

Hyperbaric Oxygen Therapy

(For those who have been diagnosed with a TBI)
Non-invasive medical treatment where a patient is immersed in a 100% oxygen environment while they are in a pressurized oxygen chamber. The pressure also allows oxygen to aid bone and tissue regeneration, increases white blood cell formation, and promotes the creation of peripheral and capillary vessels.

Infrared Detoxification Sauna

Infrared detoxification allows light waves to penetrate the skin more deeply than a typical sauna’s heat waves and consequently, remove more toxins. This is particularly useful to service members as they were/are constantly exposed to lead and other heavy metals which accumulate in the body and brain, wreaking havoc with overall health.

Mindfulness Therapies

One of the primary goals of “Operation Phoenix” is to elevate the mind and body equally. When a service members’ mind is filled with negative, stressful thoughts that force them to constantly brood over past decisions, the chances of them benefitting from any physical exercise is very poor. Mindfulness exercises help in clearing the negativity from their brains and provide a continuous supply of motivation to keep the body progressing forward towards optimum health.

MAKING A DIFFERENCE

Veteran Testimonials

After returning from Afghanistan, I fell into a deep, dark depression. In December of 2020, I reached out to a friend when I thought I could no longer go on living because life was too painful.

He introduced me to Grey Team, and after enrolling in their program, I began to piece my life back together. My family bonds are now restored, and I had the optimism and confidence to land the job of my dreams.

“Grey Team and all its dedicated people are a huge reason for my improvements. All the modalities offered are tailored to my problems. After a back injury in the Navy in 1971, I could no longer do the thing that made me the happiest, deep-sea diving.

Thanks to the exceptional care provided by the HOW foundation and Grey Team, I have not only been able to go diving again, but now I can bring other veterans with me as an additional therapeutic service.

” I served in the U.S. Army from 2012 to 2017. After separating from the Army, I began to isolate myself and turned to pharmaceuticals to cope with my anxiety and depression.

After being admitted into the VA hospital for an overdose, I knew it was time for a change, and that’s when I discovered Grey Team while scrolling through Facebook. I applied in November 2020, and thanks to this remarkable program, I lost 84 lbs and haven’t had to rely on drugs to manage my anxiety and depression.”

After sustaining a Traumatic Brain Injury (TBI) while serving in the U.S. Marine Corps, I lost almost all of my memories and had to relearn life all over again. In the 26 years since then, I was unable to live a normal life and needed constant care.

After going through the Grey Team protocol of therapies, I have been able to do many of the things that never were possible before, such as cooking for myself, dating, and feeling like I have something to live for.

Our Steps Towards Success

When a veteran contacts “Operation Phoenix“, they are connected to our wellness team who provides personalized attention, support, and assistance to the veteran.

ONE-ON-ONE ASSESSMENT

As we have learned, there is no "one-size-fits-all" solution. Grey Team's wellness cadre will schedule a preliminary in-person screening to determine the needs of the veteran.

CREATE A WELLNESS REGIMEN

Once our team learns and determines the need(s) of the veteran, we then meet and develop a plan to help the veteran reach their goals safely and efficiently.

THE HEALING BEGINS

After a wellness regimen is established, we begin treatment at Grey Team HQ and/or our partner programs located across the U.S.

POST PROGRAM EVALUATION

After a veteran protocol has ended, our wellness team will conduct a post program evaluation to determine if further support is needed.
